About Yellowstone National Park

One of America’s last true wildernesses, Yellowstone National Park is perhaps best known for Old Faithful, grizzly bears and crystal-clear lakes. Yet Yellowstone park is so much more.

Founded in 1872, the Yellowstone park encompasses more than 2.2 million acres spread throughout three states.  As one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world, Yellowstone National Park is home to more than 10,000 geothermal features and countless geological phenomena.
